Our Story
I’m Aidan, an industrial designer who believes that objects in the home should feel as good as they look… and maybe even make you smile while you use them. Exhibit A started as a small idea: to create homeware and furniture that’s thoughtful, tactile, and a little unexpected.
During my studies, I designed and built a chair inspired by the baobab tree, playing with strength, form, and the textures of the African outdoors. The chair placed 3rd in a South African national furniture competition and even made it to Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy—which is just a fancy way of saying my chair design got to travel more than I did that year. More importantly, that project was when I realized I love building things for the home.
Every piece I make carries the same philosophy: subtle luxury, tactile materials, and a little joy in the details. I also like to make online shopping a little more fun—because life’s too short for boring carts and stiff product descriptions.
Through Exhibit A Originals, I collaborate with people who have ideas of their own, turning sparks of imagination into pieces that are personal, functional, and lasting. Think of it as a workshop where your ideas come to life… without the sawdust in your shoes (well, mostly).
